Mysuru, September 17, 2022: “The cultural relationship between India and Chicago is boundless,” observed His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

His Holiness participated in the Satsang program organized on September 15, Thursday, at Chicago in the USA, and gave his blessings.

“Recalling Swami Vivekananda’s historical speech at Chicago, His Holiness Swamiji said even today, no cultural, literary, or traditional lecture programs or speeches won’t become complete without remembering that historic speech of Swami Vivekananda, held at Chicago. It is the land that presented the Indian culture to the entire world. It is the place that mesmerized the people of the world with the introduction of the feelings of brotherhood of India by Swami Vivekananda. Hence, Chicago is considered a special place,” he explained.

“There is only one god, but he has several names,” this is a statement given to the mankind by several visionaries, great saints, and sharanas. The poet Harihara told, ‘Satyavembude Haranu, Haranembude Satya,’ which means Truth is God and God is Truth. God is virtue embodied, and also formless. God is omnipotent and universal. God is everywhere,” he said.

“In certain circumstances, the efforts of human beings become zero in front of nature. Nature has that power. Belief is very important for man. Everyone on this earth is living today only on belief. We should sincerely remember god and engage in our works with earnestness. We should develop an attitude of ‘We’ instead of ‘I’. Everyone should respect others’ words and opinions. Adopting religion and spirituality will bring happiness,” he observed.

Retd. Judge Sri Eshwar Antina spoke on the occasion. Sri R. Mahesh presented the activities of the JSS Spiritual Mission. Sri Supriya Antina welcomed the guests. Sri Amit Kajjaragi gave a vote of thanks. Sri Shashidhar Kalluru, Kum. Dhyana, Dhanyun rendered an invocation.
