Special poojas begin at Sri Sutturu Math in Mysuru

Mysuru, October 19, 2020: As part of the Navaratri festival that began on October 17, 2020, Navadurga idols were installed at the Sri Sutturu Math branch located at the foothills of Chamundi in Mysuru. Special poojas were commenced as part of the nine day festival, along with abhisheka and Mahamangalarathi. Recital of the story of Goddess Chamundi is held every day in the evening. Along with special poojas, pooja to the sacred Banni tree (Shami tree) will be held on Vijayadashami. Staff of the Sri Math will participate in all the pooja and other rituals in the divine presence of Paramapujya Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji. Entry of devotees and public has been restricted as a precautionary measure to control spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
