‘Role of yoga very important in personality development’ – G.L. Tripurantaka

Suttur, April, 28, 2019: “Yoga plays a very important role in the personality development of children,” opined Sri G.L. Tripurantaka, Coordinating Officer, JSS Institutions.

He addressed the participants after inaugurating the four-day children personality development camp, organized by the Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samiti, Mysuru, in association with the Suttur Srimath, at Suttur Srikshetra.

“Today’s children are living in a competitive world, and are going away from natural life. You can lead a healthy life by adopting yoga, , and meditation in your daily lives,” he said.

In his introductory speech Sri Raghavendra, Convener of the Yoga Samiti explained how the Patanjali Yoga Samiti has been organizing special camps during summer holidays from the last 14 years, in different districts. He explained thousands of children have participated in the camps till now.

Chief Guest Sri Veerabhadraiah, Assistant Coordinating Officer, in his address explained about the various camps that are being held every year in Suttur for elders, apart from children.

Sri Satyanarayana, Treasurer of Patanjali Yoga Samiti presided over the programme. He opined that it is the responsibility of every one of us to pass on the Indian culture and traditions to the future generations and said such camps are relevant in this regard.The programme commenced with an invocation by Smt. Jyothi. Smt. Pushpa welcomed. The camp is being held in the leadership of Sri Vikas, Sri Bharath Ravi and Sri Preetam. A total number of 150 participants including 40 students from Meghalaya State are taking part in the camp.
