Richness by heart is Indian culture

Mysuru, September 14, 2022: “Indian culture is excellent, that is full of richness by heart,” observed His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

He participated in the Satsang program organized by the Veerashaiva Samaja, held in Boston, USA, on September 13.

In his blessings, His Holiness said, “Indian culture is that which doesn’t have any beginning or ending and a culture that loves everybody in the world. During the independence struggle, Mahatma Gandhiji called for a non-violent struggle. He inspired everyone to struggle without using any weapon. Thus, he proved that we could achieve anything in this world through peace and non-violence. Indians have the strength to win hearts of others. Even today, we can see wars in this world to extend dynasties. Likewise, a war will also be going in our souls against the problems of our lives. If we want to overcome all those problems, we should follow spirituality. We can attain eternal peace through prayers. Prayers gives us inner peace. Human beings should develop a habit of accepting both failures and successes equally. We should learn how to live happily with whatever we have. God is both inside and outside our souls. When we understand it, it helps us to achieve something good,” he said.

The program conducted at the residence of Sri Rajanna and Smt. Pushpa. Retired Principal Prof. S. Mallanna delivered the introductory speech. VSNE President Sri Rudresh mastered the program. Kum. Prakruti rendered an invocation. Sri Madhu Akkihebbal, Smt. Lakshmi Ramesh presented devotional songs and bhajans, accompanied by Sri Rajesh Pai and Sri Ramesh Yalakkishetty with musical instruments. Sri Rajendra and Sri R. Mahesh explained the journey of the JSS Spiritual Mission and future projects. Spiritual aspirers from several parts of New England participated in the program.
