JSS Hospital, Mysuru
Established in 1963 as a primary healthcare centre. This centre was primarily meant for the medical check-up of the students studying at JSS institutions. In 1992, another health centre was established on the SJCE campus. When JSS Medical College was started in 1984, this hospital was upgraded into a 60 bedded hospital as it was used for the clinical practice by the students. With the increasing need, a new hospital with 1800 beds was established in 2013 in the centre of Mysuru city.
This hospital is one of the biggest multispeciality hospitals in India, with 1800 beds, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and advanced equipment. This is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to serving the poor and the downtrodden.
The hospital has 37 specialities/super specialities and 67 special clinics. On average, it caters to the medical needs of more than 18000 patients and around 4000 inpatients every month.
