Suttur, February 2, 2019: About 152 models prepared by the students of various JSS schools were exhibited in different categories at the Educational and Science exhibition, on the second day of the Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji’s Jatra Mahotsav, held at Suttur.
The students of the JSS School in Suttur had prepared a model of the PSLV satellite launch. They explained its uses to the visitors, which was appreciated by many. The students of the Ajjipura school had exhibited an automatic street light model which saves time and prevents energy waste, which attracted many visitors. The students of the Jayanagara School had prepared a model of a bulb which glows when we clap, without the help of a switch. The students of the Ramapura school had prepared a light box which they used to explain the visitors about the characteristics of light through a demonstration, which also was appreciated by many. The students of the Saraswathipuram school had prepared a model depicting traffic safety, that prevents accidents at steep turns, which drew the attention of the visitors.
The students of Lakshmipuram JSS school created awareness among the visitors about the law of motion using a model prepared by them based on Newton’s law of motion. Students of the Baragi school created awareness about X-ray and scanning through their model. Hullahalli school students had prepared a solar village model, to create awareness about the importance of usage of solar energy. The BEd students of Suttur have prepared several educational and science models with the support of the Mobile Laboratory of the Science Development Committee of Mysore University used in schools. The students of the Lakshmipuram school were found explaining about the model prepared by the Agastya Foundation.
Haraguru Charamurthy, management team members, public, devotees and school students visited the exhibition and appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers.
