Dasoha – Sharing Wealth and Knowledge

Dasoha 1

Indians and Indian culture have always welcomed people around the world with warmth and respect. Hospitality is one of the qualities imbibed in our culture. People are very generous and provide food to starving strangers. The temples and Maths offer food in the form of prasad to the devotees. Sri Math also follows this culture, and it has been providing free food to about 4,000 children studying in its residential school. In Yalandur taluk, about 10,000 children are offered free meals. Apart from this, meals are served during Jathra Mahothsava to thousands of people, and meals are provided for the needy at 20 free boarding homes run by Sri Math.

Dasoha Bhavan

A magnificent Bhavana has been constructed at Suttur Srikshetra to provide Prasada (food) to the devotees during their visit. It was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. The Bhavan is clean, spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances.
