Everything is possible if you have faith – Swami Sri Veereshananda Saraswathi

Suttur, May 2, 2019: “We can achieve anything if our faith is strong,” opined Swami Sri Veereshananda Saraswati of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Tumakuru.

He participated in the valedictory of the Retreat programme for Doctors held at Suttur Srikshetra. In his discourse, he said, “How can you expect love when you don’t have faith? Faith and suspicion cannot co-exist. We should develop confidence in our faith rather than overcoming suspicion. If you follow this there will be no space for suspicion. Love always gets deeper. Doctors should develop concern and love towards their patients, and patients should have faith and confidence in the treatment given by the doctors and their medicine. I wish you all become doctors who have sympathy in heart towards your patients. Please speak with your patients and their family members with love and affection and ensure that they trust you.”

Dr. Shridhar Deshmukh, Advisor, of Preventive Healthcare and Therapeutic Yoga, Bengaluru, expressed his view that there is a strong relationship between lack of nutrition and our mind. “Food is important for us, as we need strength to do our daily work. The food we consume gives strength to our body. Good food includes organically grown fresh vegetables and fruits. It keeps us active,” he added.

Participants Dr. Gurudatta, Dr. Asha, Dr. Suman, Dr. Hemalatha and Dr. Saraswatamma observed that the camp was very well organized and refreshing. Dr. Purushottam Shastry read the camp report, Dr. K.B. Chetak welcomed and Dr. K.B. Suma gave a vote of thanks.

The camp used to commence early in the morning daily with a prayer, followed by yoga and pranayama sessions.
